On a regular day I am in the eye of at least ten cameras Starting with the camera set up on the traffic light I go through driving to either Dutch Bros or Dari Mart each place has a minimum of two cameras that see me From there I go to school or work both driving paths consist of multiple traffic signals that spot me as I pass through them When I go to work the number of cameras that spot me increases because the mall itself has surveillance cameras and so do many of the different stores inside At Lane I havent seen or should I say noticed any cameras that are obvious or obviously hidden As I make my way around town I will see about 3 cops in various vehicles such as cars motorcycles and also undercover SUVs good thing I usually follow traffic-laws Many Americans fear getting pulled-over because it usually leads to some sort of negative repercussion varying from a lecture from the officer humiliation a ticket money and even arrested freedom if necessaryI realized that almost everywhere I go or drive is monitored by some sort of surveillance camera not always governmental eyes but that doesnt mean they cant access it I also see cops around town daily which makes sense since they are the ones who enforce many of the laws and hand out punishments But how does this constant presence of surveillance police force and punishment-laws help maintain the governments power and control societyThe use of surveillance cameras has only been around for less than a century starting in 1965 by police officers to watch public places At first the cameras were Closed Circuit Television CCTV meaning it needed to be watched constantly by someone When they became able to record onto videocassettes is when they became extremely efficient even if no one is watching the surveillance they can see it later Since the
