Olivia barged inside the house slamming the door behind her Her things plummeted to the hardwood floor as she let go of them Angrily she slammed her Michael Kors earrings onto the little black lacquer table in the corner Katherine Olivias mother was in the kitchen cooking dinner when she heard all of the racket coming from the front door She stormed in the room and hauled to a stop when she saw the sorrow look on her daughters face Whats wrong Olivia her mother asked concerned Mrs Hopkins is whats wrong That lady is meaner than a herd of provoked wasps 8 year old Olivia exclaimed After a discussion Olivia went about to do her homework and chores While doing homework Olivia kept getting frustrated because of the lack of concentration caused by the sirens outside Eventually she completed her homework and was ready for dinner As Olivia and her mother set the table her father Lincoln was just arriving from work Olivia had always looked up to her father she believed he was the wisest man she had ever encountered Lincoln was near sighted so he fairly squinted when not wearing his glasses He was a slender man with peculiar eyes and luscious thick dark hair After the table was set and dinner was served it was time to dig in Olivia so hungry she could eat a horse scarfed down her dinner in minutes before asking for seconds After dinner Olivia prepared herself for bed She looked outside the window The sky looked as though a dark moth-eaten blanket was thrown over it and the stars were the light piercing through the holes made by the insects Come on cupcake Lincoln patted on the bed signaling Olivia it was time to go to bed Her eyelids slowly began to close and the sight of her father above her began to be a blur The next morning Olivia woke up to silence
