Ever since I was little my Memere Pepere Dad Mom my brother and I would go to Salisbury Beach for two weeks although I dont remember the vacations until about the age of five From that age to the present however my excitement has been the same year after year I would spend the night before we left staring at my ceiling or tossing and turning until late into the night I would have that butterfly feeling in my stomach beginning the night before until we arrived to our cottageAs the morning finally came I would jump out of my bed and throw on whatever clothes I hadnt packed After getting ready I would rush downstairs urging my parents to get things moving and to hurry up and pack the cars so that we could leave They always respond with Relax we have hours until we have to be at the cottageFinally we would begin packing our two cars I would take whatever I could lift sometimes over doing it and pissing my parents off My mom would always pack everything into the cars because shes the only one who knew hot arrange it all to make everything fit My brother dad and I would bring all the boxes suitcases and coolers out to herAs we finished packing the two cars we would begin our journey to my Memere and Peperes house in Massachusetts to help them pack The trip which usually takes thirty minutes seems like it would take hours on this day When we finally arrived to my grandparents house I would be the first to jump out of the car and run to the door I would ring the doorbell repeatedly until one of my grandparents would answer Once they finally opened the door the first thing you smell is cigarettes Ive grown up with the smell my whole life that instead of hating the smell like most people Ive grown
