Three strikes and your out of the old ball game Ever since I was a little girl the game of baseball has impacted my life I say this because my family breathes on baseball literally The love of the game began with my brother Christopher Christopher is a diehard baseball fan and has been playing the All-American sport since he could walkthanks to my father With that being said baseball fields were like my second home growing up From the chaos occurring in the crowds to the corny baseball chants its all bittersweet to me Ultimately my interest in baseball began while playing the role of prospector during my brothers games Since Christopher was a starting pitcher I got to flaunt my sisterly support from the bleachers Believe me when I say you could hear me cheering from the rooftops Obviously paying attention to the field was extremely difficult at timesespecially when youre five years old and you like to fidget Although I was restless I enjoyed being in the presence of my family and getting the opportunity to see my brothers face light up when the crowd went crazy for something he did Truthfully watching Christopher play made me somewhat jealous of his athletic ability I remember ponder upon the question Why cant I be like him Eventually I realized if I wanted to be like my brother I needed to take matters into my own hands I was on a mission to comprehend the magnificent game of baseball Additionally my role of prospector progressed to the role of commentator before my eyes I initiated conversation with my father on the main components of baseball during various occasions I remember asking the following questions what does the umpire do what are the positions in baseball and how do the teams know when its their turn to take the field and the other bat To my surprise I found the game of baseball to
