Bridget's feedback:
"Your use of empathy and pathos creates connections with your readers, and the use of sources helps enhance the ethos. I question the effect of casting the net quite so wide, however, as the discussion tends to roam around. Is the main point that stress doesn't discriminate by age or gender? Or do you want to use specific examples (as in the flying discussion) to show it is a part of our everyday lives? Granted, these are overlapping points, but by choosing one by which to organize and structure the essay, you can bring your essay's purpose and topic to a more specific place beyond the general idea of "stress."
I mentioned sources above, and you've done a great job formatting the in-text citations. Make sure to integrate your quotations into the text using signal phrases or similar. Signal phrases to introduce sources can also help assert your ethos and control over the research and material. In terms of the sources, you mention you are writing after 2000; however, I notice the sources are all mid- to late-90s. Consider how this impacts the discussion and the reader's understanding of how you went about your research, and make adjustments as needed."
