If Business students carry on the attitude of knowing everything and not asking questions it can hurt them badly In an interview for a job you pretend to know the materials like Time value of money but when asked a question about it you stumble to answer because youre not sure about it Instead of showing fake heroics just by saying I dont know but I will be glad to learn about it will get you far Getting a job in the business field is very competitive As a fresh graduate you might think that as soon as you get into the real world and start finding a job you need to know everything about the profession Well youre wrong You learn as you go through the training stage you will learn important things like building a Balance Sheet and a Financial Portfolio for the corporation you are working and even when youre finished with such training your employer does not expect you to know how to build a Balance Sheet since they are complex and takes time to learn Like in classes when a professor is giving a lecture he asks a question why do you credit revenues which most students wont answer by staying silent showing they either know or are shy to talk about it but about 30 to 40 percent of students dont know what it actually means Why not just say I dont knowMany students think asking questions might make them sound or look dumb Its mostly due to peer pressure As Popick CEO and Co-Founder of VerticalResponse a leading provider of marketing solutions empowering small businesses would justify by saying Did everyone get the TPS report Everyone in the room nods If you have no clue what a TPS report is and youre like me you raise your hand and say At the risk of sounding like an idiot I dont know what a TPS report is
