"You've done well in bringing together and committing your main points to paper. In the next draft, focus on creating transitions and signposting: this will help tie together the various paragraphs to create flow, moving the reader through the discussion in a way that feels part of a unified project. Incorporating single-sentence paragraphs into the rest of the writing will also help create this structure, as will crafting an introduction and conclusion. I'd also like to propose moving the overview of the culture to the beginning of the paper.

I encourage you to think about ways to polish up the writing, both for purposes of clarity and presentation. For clarity, for example, watch out for unclear pronouns ("Their attitude, however, did not prevent them..."); clarity at the level of rhetoric and authorial position is also important, such as "forgot to spare" -- is this irony rhetorically effective? Approach the decision to use scare quotes throughout the paper from a rhetorical angle, as well, keeping in mind they will impose an informal tone and bias on the writing."
