The prejudice beliefs people accept in this country due to a persons sex is a topic that I feel is how I would like my Semester paper to discuss Getting in-depth on the beliefs both men and women hold about the opposite sex Why do men believe women should stay at home and take care of the kids while they work Why do women believe men should always be there to change their flat tires or fix the plumbing What are all the sexist beliefs people have created and where did they arrive In this topic I could talk about the roles in society both men and women are expected to fulfill I do not only want to focus on women and the difficulties they have to go through but also the problems men have to face in this largely male dominated society The references I will use to create my paper will be our Race Class and Gender textbooks and outside sources from the library Since most of the readings discussed in book focus on the disadvantages placed on women I found a Ebook from JCKL The Second Sexism Discrimination Against Men and Boys by David Benatar Hopefully from this reading I will gain more knowledge about the ways men feel discriminated by females Another book I found in JCK Library called Modern Sexism by Nijole V Benokraitis and Joe R Feagin focuses on the discrimination of women The reading discusses many different aspects of sexism on women It discusses how sexism starts in the home and is created through marriage and the roles a woman is supposed to play Due to the traditional idea that a man works and a women take care of the kids in many households those roles have not changed Which creates women playing those same roles in and outside the house because a women will not be able to excel to her capability if she is
