When I asked my friends if they believed if we had already been visited by extraterrestrials I was met with a different assortment of answers About 63 agreed that we have while 12 could not give me a straight answer and the rest 25 did not believe so Of those who believed we have their beliefs were based on popular theories such as that they were our angels and demons from religions and myths or that they helped us build the pyramids While not disapproving of their opinions I do not share them I cannot help but see religion myth and physics I simply believe that if extraterrestrials were to visit us they would have left something undoubtedly more abnormal than tales and structures of common stoneScientists are based on rationalism and most of our current theories about aliens are nothing if conjectures based on fantasies One will interpret what he or she will when reading religion and myth as Sigmund Freud pointed out 3 And like Carl Jung further investigated humans seem to have a collective unconscious where we share the same type of archetype symbolism 3 What this means is that an idea or tale such as religion or myth can be widely accepted although each individual might see it from a different perspective Because of this scientists are aware of the collective theories Although they might not pay as much attention to them as other less-rational people wouldOn the other side of the spectrum we have theories that present us with physical evidence I am talking about those that claim that aliens were here on Earth and left evidence such as the Pyramids the Stonehenge the lines of the Nazca Plain in Peru the Easter Island statues and so on Not to mention the popular crop symbols in the UK Do we really think that extraterrestrials who apparently have the power for intergalactic travel would leave such mundane evidence Although Fermi concluded
