In A Rose for Emily one could argue that being into forced isolation can lead to insanity Emilys father forced her to live an isolated life He wouldnt accept any of Emilys male friends He would run Emilys admirers away when they would try to be around her Emilys father thought nobody was good enough for his beloved Emily Isolation can have tremendously negative effects on a person The loneliness can become unbearable Does being isolated cause necrophilia and insanity in Emilys lifeYes it does cause necrophilia and insanity in Emilys life Emily had reasoning in her life at one point The neighbors trusted her to give their kids art lessons Eventually Emily lost her sanity Emily was made an outsider controlling and limits the towns access to her to keep her true identity hidden When Emilys father died she kept his body after he died in the house The townspeople complained to the mayor about the smell She gave up his body so it could be buried Then a construction worker named Homer Barron comes to town Homer comes into town to pave the sidewalks but he starts spending a lot of time with Emily The townspeople dont like the fact that Homer is around Emily a lot She became more and more reserved as the years passed by Eventually she lost her sanity along the way She demonstrated this by poisoning Homer Barron and then keeping his corpse to rot on the bed in which she slept Emily then goes and buys poison the towns people think shes about to commit suicide Instead she kills Homer with the poison and locks his body up in the upstairs room After Emily dies the townspeople find the body of Homer Barron forty years laterNecrophiliac or necrophilia means to have a sexual attraction to dead bodies Herodotus saysNecrophiliac themes are common throughout history and the concept of sexual interference with the dead has
