If I were the head of a community service club I would work on one big idea My vision for The Ultimate Project would be educating people about how to save water energy and plastics Some people think water is a natural resource why do we need to save it the answer is because people use up our planets fresh water faster than it can naturally be replenished Everybody can save water by changing everyday behavior such as not letting the faucet run while you are brushing your teeth Fixing faucets around the house is another way to reduce wasting valuable drinking water These small actions alone could save about thirty gallons of water a day Minor changes in your everyday actions can help to save even more water reducing the time you spent under the shower by 10 minutes could add up to thirty saved gallons per year To save energy you could turn all the lights off when you leave the room even if you are coming back Turn your video game system and the TV set off instead of changing the channel when done playing Also battery chargers should be unplugged when they are not being used Share a television set if two people are watching the same thing rather than watch it in two different rooms Saving fuel is easier when you plan your schedules such as a bus schedules or a carpooling schedule For example If people living in metropolitan areas alone would turn to public transport rather than their personal cars oil fields a year could be spared Our fuel is mainly based on natural resources which developed over huge periods on the Earth We therefore have only limited amounts of those fossil fuel resources at our disposal That is why we should ride busses or walk to get somewhere In some part of the country public transport
