Jim's feedback:
"Several paragraphs are excessively long. Readers become lost in these, and they struggle to comprehend. Start a new paragraph each time the topic shifts. Your writing meanders along, which can cause confusion. Readers respond well to simple, concise sentences.
You often write in the first person. Unless you are an expert in the field, your personal strategies to address stress are of no use. You provide advice on a serious problem, with little in the way of sources. (You do cite the CDC, whose name you fail to capitalize.)
There are various grammatical issues, such as incomplete sentences and misuse of punctuation (e.g., “things like, loss …”). Run a grammar check to identify and correct errors. Read through your essay to find additional errors and simplify expressions. Then do it again. It is hard work, but it becomes easier."
