It can be very intimidating and sometimes scary to enter college as a freshman just like it was scary to enter elementary school as a kindergartener middle school as a sixth grader or high school as a freshman but you should have nothing to worry about Yes everything will be new to you and you will not know anybody but eventually you will find yourself around and make some new friends Mostly everybody feels the same way on their first year but you have been well-trained as an Early College student at your university that it will be so inconsequential and a very easy process for you Just like you survived your freshman year of high school you will too survive your freshman year of college You already have an idea of how college life feels like so you should use that experience to your advantage and try out some new stuff Try to think that you are about to enter into a new episode of your life You wont have your mom or dad on your back telling you to make your bed or to wash the dishes you wont have your sibling getting on your nerves or going into your room without your permission Nothing of that will follow you to college It is your chance to finally be alone have your own car and depend on yourself and not on others It can be hard at first because you might be so used to your parents and your teachers telling and remembering you everything that you should do You might be so attached to your parents that you might miss them so much the first couple of weeks but at the end you will get used to not having them around and only having yourself to depend on When I began taking college classes I had an idea of what I had to do to be a successful student in college
