Is there such a thing as a bad teacher Could they be the reason as to why students are not getting the education they need to succeed How is it that giving a bad teacher a bigger pay check make them better teachers over night It cant that is impossible but it can be given tot those teachers that devote themselves to art of teaching Teachers need to take responsibility for their actions and begin to teach in their classrooms actually work for their paychecks before asking for more money Many teachers do argue that the poor success of the school system can be blamed on problems outside the school And that can be understood but again what are they doing about it I claim that there is actually bad teaches out there and no one is doing anything about it There are several things that can be done to fix this issue Bad teachers need to be fired good teachers need to be hired and good teachers should be rewarded so that they may continue to the good job that they do What defines a bad teacher Well I can start by saying that a bad teacher is someone who doesnt care whether the kids in the classroom succeed or not A bad teacher is one that passes out a handout and doesnt engage the kids in class discussions And lastly a bad teacher is one who shows up just to receive a paycheck I have experienced all these three types of bad teachers and nothing was ever done about it According to the documentary Stupid in America the process that need to be done to fire a teacher is outrages which may be the reason as to why they avoid the issue all together Couldnt we see that as laziness Of course we can If that is the kind of people running the school system what can we really expect from the teachers
