"I appreciate that you pick a strong stance and stick with it, and it's clear you've spent the time with the text. This is key in creating ethos and evidence, particularly if you have no desire to hold back in expressing your issues with the text. I will caution against crossing the line into vituperation ("were rather lame"); try to balance more formal diction with the personality evidenced in the current draft.
I see a few opportunities to continue working with the organization, including a more efficient first paragraph that gets to the purpose of your essay faster. You bring up good points in that opening, so perhaps some of those claims can be used in the body, as you go. Another organization revision I would recommend is reversing the order of the discussion about the title -- lead with the point about the title and "problems," plural; otherwise, the reader must wait to understand the specific objection."
