As a young girl the greatest decision I probably wrestled with was choosing which one toy I would pick out of the many toys in Toys RUs when my parents would tell me I have to choose one and only one toy While in my adolescent years choosing where my friends and I would hang out on weekend was a big deal As human beings throughout our lives even on daily basis we are required to make many decisions some which are of great importance which may have a tremendous effect in our lives whether short term or long At one point of time or another I knew I would have to face the decision of which post-secondary school I would attend but never fully understood how great this one decision could be When faced with the decision of which school to attend many things go under consideration such as the expenditure the population of the school food variety and available activities and some of these factors may have a greater effect on whether many will choose a public or private university Since the state or federal government provides funding for public institutions tuition is usually inexpensive at public universities compared to that of a private university which is one thing I found to be favorable making the cost of my education financially feasible Furthermore habitually public schools have larger populations which come along with many pros and cons For within a largely populated school classes seem to be less intimate there may be courses which include a hundred or more students which takes away from individual and personal attention This could be a dilemma for I prefer discussions over long lectures and PowerPoint presentations however it could be rewarding to those who enjoy that kind of teaching style and those who like to miss several classes without being penalized Additionally because of the larger population at public universities there may be more
