Fresh Powder Smell of gasoline The enjoyment of others Thats what more than 4 million Americans Salas 4 look forward to in the winter Whether it is for joy riding or competitive racing they all have the same love for this invention During off season people cant wait for that first snow and to get their hands on the handle bars of their snowmobile Some get to anxious and drive on grass and sometimes straight over bodies of water But the patient and responsible snowmobilers get to ride their snowmobile in the winter Carl Eliason was born in Sayner Wisconsin in 1899 When Eliason was younger he had disabilities and he had dreamed of a machine that would carry him through the woods where everyone walked Campbell Carl started his snowmobile and finished his first model in 1924 he was 24 years of age Salas 4 Eliason attached a track to a sledtoboggan with an engine at the front that turned the tracks 4 Carl called his machine the Eliason motor tobogganSnowmobiles are used for safety departments joy riders and many others that need to get around in remote areas Groups of people that use them are the Department of Natural Resources DNR Emergency Departments and doctors S-Sn The DNR uses the snowmobiles for watching speeders that puts themselves and others in danger The Emergency department uses snowmobiles for getting others that are in an emergency situation Joy riders use them for the joy of seeing the nature Racers use them for earning money and winning races That is what people use snowmobiles forWarm Energized Safety Riders look for this in the equipment and clothing they wear and bring Most riders will wear a first layer with clothing that will absorb moisture from the skin Salas 16 Their second layer is usually wool or fleece that if it gets wet it will still keep them warm 16 The third layer is the shell and it
