Having a good neighbor is important I learned that lesson when I first moved in from a one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom townhouse For the first time in my life I was finally getting out of an apartment I was a twenty - two years old college student living with my family Before my family signed the mortgage they forgot one thing maybe the most important thing to check with the neighbors On my first day in I learned that my next door neighbor Charles has a beagle named Mr Bernages Mr Bernages would bark constantly every day That year was the most annoying year of my life Mr Bernages was medium sized brown big eyed and cute dog Charles was a fifty - two years old African American six foot two muscular and retired veteran from the US army We lived in a gated area of four identical houses My house was attached to Charless house We both had small backyards that were also attached to each other Mr Bernages spent most of the day in the backyard As a college student and working full time graveyard shift it was very hard for me to rest I was working from twelve am to six am Mr Bernages would start barking around eight am Because the dog would not stop barking studying got even difficult During my first year in the new house I noticed that living in the apartment was better Mr Bernages had ruined it all and his owner Charles did not care I started getting anxiety attacks because of too much stress Home sweet home was not so sweet anymore Something had to be done I had to take matters into my own hands So I started looking into ways to resolve the problem It was seven in the morning I had just come home from work and Mr Bernages started barking Anxiety started to kick in I
