Throughout my childhood innocent certainly was not my middle nameLeaping out of the classroom window with a few classmates to avoidboredom after taking a test seemed like a brilliant plan at the timeSitting in the classroom having to read after taking a three hour longassessment was not my idea of a good time When my teacher briefly leftthe class my chance to escape came quickly With an immature mindsetas a seventh grader I never connected the words fun and consequence Inow realize getting caught outside of Oak Hill Middle School withoutpermission during school hours was a tremendous problem I allowed mydesire for rebellion to overrule my thought process and that is whatresulted in me sitting in the office along with a few of my classmatesNot only did I have to deal with my principal and different teachers Iwas soon to be greeted by my mother only to be followed by beingscolded The different viewpoints that were created after my actions toresist against higher power allowed me to learn from my mistakesAfter taking the MCAS a state exam given every year to the student totrack their learning progress we were told to read a book of ourchoice When I picked up my book Mr Golden my teacher said I haveto step out of the room to use the restroom I expect you all to do theright thing until I come back He did not tell us what the rightthing was but we all knew When I stared at the clock it did nottake long for me to stir up my mischievous idea After I asked the classwho wanted to jump out the window to go play outside only a few peopleresponded That was good enough for me We put all of our stuff underthe desk before heading to the window I slid the window open only tosee bright blue skies and a sunny dayit was perfect There were fourof us We hopped out window one
