Throughout my first year of high school I have grown immensely Academically I saw myself have a hard time but slowly improve Personally it is hard to believe that it was only one year ago that I was not the individual I am today As an individual I have changed for the better vastly On the first day of my high school journey I came in as a short kid that was awfully shy and struggling with depression as my parents would say Theyd say something was wrong with me and I agreed Honestly I do not remember why I was so blue but I believe it was how I had been treated at home and having no company Throughout the year I met a lot of different people and made a couple friends My cloudy days started having some sunlight My days started becoming much brighter when I joined cross country That was when I finally changed positively My shyness faded away and I loved meeting more new people To this day I still do With the friends I made we joined clubs did community service and along the way we met more interesting people Reflecting back on how I was one year ago I would have never wanted to meet more people join clubs sports or do community service Im glad I am not the same character I was a year back I would not be as happy as I am today Next middle school is nothing compared to high school It is so much different especially since I was in a public middle school and went straight to a fundamental high school At my middle school we did not receive as much homework but at Godinez we received a mountain of homework for each of my classes My homework was always completed and I have never received a homework card A small goal of mine is to never pick up and sign
