Ashley Montagu the author of the article Has Education Failed States his opinion on how education has flopped on human beings and impaired us from reaching our full potential Mental health to Montagu is crucial in the development of human beings in his opinion if a person is not properly able to love and work they wont be able to properly communicate with other people Montagu believes that the majority of the blame for students not being properly educated should be placed on the teachers and that parents also have a part of the blame but it is the teachers job to pick up on the parents slack Montagu clearly expresses his dislike towards teachers and education but also give us hope by reassuring us that there is a way to turn things around and make a change on the way education is taught Education has failed most of us but I am in no way convinced that teachers are mainly at fault for this for the reason being that there are many other forces that can alter a persons ability to learn and teachers dont have a grasp wide enough to be able to control it all There were certain things discussed in this article that were not very believable nor clearly understood why they were mentioned Like on the paragraph where Montagu quoted a teacher responding to him placing all the blame of why people are under educated on them Montagu provides no name of which the teacher is or mentions that teacher ever again in this essay This makes me question whether there is any real credibility with what he is trying to convince us of by these meaning true facts The places in this article where he mentions parental figures puzzle me a little bit because he does not make their specific role as parents seem very important therefore it gives a feel of
