Until I was a sophomore in high school I have found myself fairly good at math I listened carefully in math classes completed my homework and aced the test The same routine lasted for every single math I took After finishing my first year of high school math with nearly perfect score I decided to try something more challenging and more suitable for my level for the next year the honor math class It was not a surprise that when the placement results came I was the only one in the class who got into the honor system I was confident so confident that I felt like I could touch the sky After a few months I finally got into the class I dreamed of When I first stepped into the classroom I felt like the air was smarter Everyone looked so brilliant I was surprised to discover that almost half of the students wore glasses and carried super big backpacks with half of their weights While I was enjoy breathing the smart air produced by math geniuses the teacher finally appeared in the classroom He was an old gentleman His hair was covered in white matching with his glasses as thick as brick dangling in front of his neck With a slow monotone voice he introduced himself as Mr Sylvia He was graduated from MIT and has worked in the school for over 30 years As he was explaining the class rules I was shocked to find out that homework which used to be 50 of the overall grade was only 10 while the rest of the 90 only consisted of tests and quizzes When I classes was finally over I have definitely tasted the difficulty of this class The rest of the month went fast Despite the surprising experience in the first class I continued my usual routine By the day before my first test I was still confident that I
