Aristotle believes that human work is to use reasoning to help us decided every day situations 1098a Working in customer service can be overwhelming sometimes In many situations customer service givers have to deal with customers who are not happy with your store I am going to demonstrate that Aristotles theories can contribute to me being a better customer service representativeOften times unsatisfied customers are very tempered this can lead to abusive behavior from them When customers demonstrate abusive behavior it sometimes intimidates me other times it angers me Aristotle believes that there is a middle point in between excess and deficiency from emotional impulses that we can reach through reasoning 1104a If I acted on these emotions I would not be using my human capacity to reason Instead I should remain calm and help the customer to the best of my abilities Once I do this I can find the mean in helping the customer As a customer service representative I dont want to give every angered customer whatever he or she demands just to appease him or her this would be deficiency On the other hand I also should not simply rudely ignore him or her this would be acting excessively Now as any customer service representative would know you are going to have multiple unsatisfied customers You are going to have to use your ability to reason to help find the best thing to do in many different situations Soon you will become experienced in this and it will become much easier to find the mean Aristotle says that once a person can hit the mean easier than before he has acquired prudenceOnce we achieve prudence our acts will become more virtuous For example we will start helping unsatisfied customers for the sake of helping customers A person without prudence may help customers to be praised by their boss or
