I have realized that being in a relationship and not in a relationship has a true impact on my life Around the end of my senior year in high school I got into a committed relationship with a boy who I was always interested in We finally made everything official and were now boyfriend and girlfriend My boyfriends name was Johnny he had recently dropped out in the middle of his high school year His parents were going through a divorce and I was his outlet who he could confide to Even though it was pretty early in the relationship I was already dealing with his family issues This would unconsciously put some stress on me that I was not aware at the time Graduation was approaching and I was excited regardless of the problems I was having back home I had asked Johnny to go to my graduation since all my other friends significant others were also attending Johnny declined and said he would not feel comfortable being there when he knows he should have been part of that graduation I was really in a bad mood from that I just couldnt wrap my head around how Johnny was not being supportive in an important time After graduation it was summer which I spent most of the time with Johnny and his friends It was very stressful for me to juggle time with my family and friends and also Johnny This would cause my parents and I to have tension in the house because of me never really being home just to eat and sleep Also it was rare if I saw my friends or had any girl time because most of the time I had already made plans with Johnny and his family Even though I did miss my own family I had felt a responsibility to accept any invitation I was given to be with either his mom or dad since they
