Being a better man and having a bright future to make my parents proud has always been my motivation I believe social class makes a difference in how kids are shaped and who they become I agree a lot with what Jean Anyon says in Social Class and the Hidden Curriculum of Work The way I was taught to write or act all changed with each passing year and each school In elementary middle school and high school I was taught different things in different ways The location and basic social status of where I went to school also played a big part of how I was taught things My parents also played a role in the way I looked at education and the thrive I had for it but I think that theyre social status also had a say in it Therefore the school system including elementary middle and high school the area where my school was located for example neighborhood and social status and the way my parents raised me all affected the way I grew up to look at education and somehow affects the way I might chose and succeed to a career in my futureThe way my elementary taught me from a small age of kindergarten through 4th grade about how to act in a classroom how to act with the people around you writing the basics of math and science ect The way the school system was set up though affected the way I began to approached everything from how I did my homework to the way I acted in class and even how I began to look at education For example for my first few years of elementary I went to a school in south St Paul Minnesota which was a pretty bad neighborhood The way you behaved wasnt really a big deal as compared to my later years of education The city was in bad shape
