Every quarter is a new learning experience whether its Englishbusiness math science or any other class you learn new things everyday ERWT 211 was one of the classes where I learned to analyze createsummaries and how to read efficiently English has not always been oneof my favorite subjects I struggle with reading and writing essaysthroughout high school One of my greatest weaknesses has been startingthe writing whether its for an essay or any sort of summaries for thebook However when I start writing I actually dont realize when Ifinish the essay Throughout my academic career I have learned a greatdeal about writing When I first found out that I was placed in EWRT211 I was a little upset and disappointed But now I am actually gladthat I was placed in this class I have learned many writing methods andsome techniques in this classBefore ERWT 211 I was aware of plagiarism however I didnt know how togive credit to the actually authors In ERWT 211 I learned how to citeproper sources and give credit to the authors Before I would just use asentence and not give them the credit to the author at all In thebeginning of the quarter Ms Diehl taught us how to give credit to theauthor I learned that after the quote you have to put the authors lastname and the page number in parenthesis I learned to do the same thingfor the summaries too Ever since then I have always done this wheneverI used a quote from a book I wasnt aware of this method at all beforeIn the future I will be using the quotes this way in an essay Before I didnt use examples in an essay In this class I have learnedthat examples dominate in an essay With the examples the essay is somuch better and is more in length too I was able to make my point soclear in an essay and it was easy for
