Word Count: 1,438
I can almost guarantee that if you were to go up to someone on the street and ask them what Coca-Cola is they would be able to give an answer Coca-Cola was introduced in 1886 so it has been around for over 120 years which makes it surprising that is still so prevalent in todays society A huge reason Coca-Cola is so well known all around the world is because of its ad campaigns Ad campaigns are extremely important for companies such as Coca-Cola because there is so much competition in the soda industry There are many knock off brands that nearly replicate the taste of Coca-Cola and then sell it for a little bit cheaper in hopes that people will buy it instead of the name brand There are also companies such as Pepsi which has been one of Coca-Colas main competitors since it was introduced in 1893 just seven years after Coke was created How the public perceives a company is what determines which they will buy from and that is why advertising is so important Companies spend a huge amount of money on advertisements along with this comes a lot of time planning what to put on them An advertisement is always carefully planned and there are no coincidences it is for this reason that it is important to analyze them to see the deeper meaning behind them By taking a closer look at advertisements we are able to better understand them and the choices that the people who created the advertisements made I chose to look at three different Coca-Cola advertisements each from a different time period the 1920s the 1940s and the 2010s In each of the different advertisements it was interesting to see how the creator uses colors quotes or slogans and people on the advertisement as a way to influence the consumerColors are a huge part of an advertisement a black and white poster on a wall
