In the 16th century the English and French both treated the Native Americans differently In contrast the English merely coexisted with the Native Americans and showed no respect what so ever for the Native American culture whereas the French maintained relatively good relations with the Native Americans and helped the Native Americans fight their traditional enemy the Iroquois In comparison the English and French both learn and grow though meeting and talking to the Native American Through this experince the English and French both learned various tasks that helped the survive in their new environment In contrast the English merely coexisted with the Native Americans for a short period of time During this timeframe the Native Americans showed the English men how to plant corn and how to hunt in the wood Since the english men who came over to America where some of the wealthiest of their nation they were not use to doing work and more importantly where not in-shape enough to do much work at all The French on the other hand worked well with the Native Americans and successfully prospered The French controlled the fur trade and brought in French items They also built trading posts along the St Lawrence River and the Great Lakes just to name a few The French also helped the Native Americans fight their traditional enemy the Iroquois In contrast the English didnt show the respect the Native Americans culture deserved Therefore war broke out between the English and the Native Americans The English also occupied their land and forced the Native Americans to move closer to the coast Without the respect for their culture that the Native Americans deserved they The French on the contrary helped the Native Americans fight their traditional enemy the Iroquois They also treated the Native Americans as economic and military allies Since the French had few colonist farms or towns they proposed little to no threat to
