In the Freshman Seminar class I was presented with the strategy project to help determine study habits and hopefully improve my grades in another class The strategy project was a great way to help me understand which methods of studying worked for me and which methods didnt work In high school studying was not necessary for me as a student therefore as a college freshmen I did not come to college with efficient study methods and time management skills The strategy project helped me be aware of studying times study habits and being aware that I can receive help from the professor if needed I chose Geography as my class to do the strategy project for because there is a lot of material covered in this class The material is not hard however I think it was a lot for me to remember In order to prepare for test one I started studying a couple of days before the test I looked over notes in addition I logged on to study blue to make flashcards Study Blue worked really well for me when I was in high school therefore I thought it would work well for me reviewing for my first geography test Study Blue has multiple methods for you to study other than flashcards They have study guides and quizzes you can take after you have created the flashcards Taking test one I thought half of the test was fairly easy The other half of the test I was really clueless That let me know that something I was doing while studying was not really effective Later on that day I checked my grade for test one I had received a seventy At that moment I was just happy I did not fail Although I was happy that I did not fail I started thinking of ways I could improve on test twoBefore taking test two I thought of ways I could
