For 9 years following 1945 we denied the people of Vietnam the right of independence For 9 years we vigorously supported the French in their abortive effort to recolonized Vietnam Martin Luther King Riverside Church New York City 1967Military Recruiters have targeted the people who would be considered in poverty They can promise the moon but when the recruits sign the contract there is a void inside it Just because the recruiters promised something doesnt mean that they have to keep the promise They go to schools and try to get people there they call the people at home and they even exploit family relationships By that I mean if you had or have family that served in the military the recruiters use that information to basically force you to join This leads to the way the US uses the militaryWhen we invade another country when we meet another country the first thing they see is the cruelty of our military We invade countries and those that escape the assault tell others and those people tell others and it just spirals into a picture with our military covered in the blood of others The ads that we see tell only what they want to tell us The ads leave out what the fighting is really like They leave out how it affects the soldiers Ads show only us helping the countries by bringing aid but thats only a part of what we doThe military uses ads to try to manipulate people into joining If that doesnt work then they resort to bribery Thats why they talk to those without means those who might not have enough money to pay for college The recruiters promise these kids the moon and when they look at the contract most of them overlook the small inscription at the bottom of the first page It says The agreements in this section and attached annex es are all the promises made
