College is a whole new experience and journey in ones life Most students entering college are aware that they will have to put in more effort than they did in high school However some students are unaware of this truth Being a successful student in college will require effort but it is certainly not impossible to achieve To become a successful college student one must review lecture notes daily attend classes daily and ask questions in classIn college it is important for one to review notes that he or she has taken in class One should review his or her notes on a daily basis It is recommended that for every class attended one should study his or notes for at least twenty minutes per day On average one will spend about three hours outside of class for every hour he or she spent in class It is near impossible to effectively study the night before an exam In college one often has to learn a large amount of detailed information If one devotes a small amount of time daily to study one will become much more successful than if he or she tries to cram the night before an examTo become a successful student one must also attend class daily One should not miss class unless he or she is sick or encounters an emergency If one is sick or encounters an emergency he or she should e-mail his or her instructor or a class mate to find out what was covered in class If one does not attend class it is often difficult and in most cases impossible to catch up on the material that he or she has missed When class is missed important notes quizzes and explanations of due assignments are also missed When these are missed it makes it increasingly difficult to achieve the grades one
