Reducing teen pregnancy and birth is one of the most effective ways of reducing child poverty in the US What is Teen Pregnancy Teen Pregnancy is defined as a teenaged or underage girl usually within the ages of 13-19 becoming pregnant Getting pregnant as a teenager gives them a higher risk of running into the Social aspects and Economical issues that surround todays teenage parents Every twenty-six seconds a United States teenager becomes pregnant every fifty-six seconds another adolescent gives birth and every hour fifty-six children are born to teenagers These facts are based on estimated figures from the United States Department of Health There are many teenagers today who are having premarital sex and not taking any precautions needed to protect their self against pregnancy When they do get pregnant there are many consequences big decisions and great responsibilities Growing up in this day and age I have seen many girls who become pregnant and are acting as if pregnancy is fashion show The girls are acting as if pregnancy is a joke and forgets that they are carrying a human being and that its going to change their life forever Whenever they realize the reality of the situation its already too late for themGetting pregnant and having a child involves many proscons For example having a child can be harder on some people than it is on others When having a baby there are a lot of things to worry about for the most important part financial problems seem to be the most talked about of teen pregnancies In the prevention of teen pregnancy there are many things that are helpful For example Abstinence is a for sure factor of not getting pregnant There are also other helpful ways to help prevent teen pregnancy such as sex education and birth control All of these things are essential in the helpful prevention of teen pregnancyAbstinence is when you give up something you desire or
