There is so much pressure in human desire The biggest part of humans repression is basin instincts Basic instincts of people things are sexual eating and sleeping However people could control of these craves as well The other way other people could not control themselves People drastically define them as animal Some people do not like these types of peoples behavior but they do not know human beings are same People have better control their mind than animal In Tropical Melody the director Apichatpong Weerasethakul shows the difference between human and animal through his directingThe movie divides two parts The story structure is not smooth between this two chapters This type of story process which is binary opposition another director David Lynch did in Lost HighwayIn the first part the main guy Keng is the soldier in Tropical Malady His military troops went somewhere in town and they found the dead body And then they get into another familys house In their house Keng meet a guy that is Tong They have dating each other for a longtime They went drink each other and they play sing together At the end of the story Kong is left with hand kiss The director uses the topic that is homosexual and it looks not awkward The audience would understand their relationshipIn second part Keng just wake up and realized that Tong is disappeared Keng is trying to find Tongs vestige Also all of animals are dead in townThe first part presents the real moment in the world There is love and peace The characters love and peace enough to show for audience The other way it symbolizes safe The characters are showing the characters various good emotions In first part most characters feel that love crush and joyful The audience also would understand these characters feeling In second part it represents characters fear scare and worries The director shows basic instincts for the human The jungle
