I had the most difficult time when I left the country that I was born in and where I grew up I had to leave my original country and immigrate first to Sudan and then to Kenya followed by the US which is our main destination Why the US Because my dad was living in the US but my mom my brother and I were living in Eritrea My dad decided to bring our family to the USA for a better education more freedom and other opportunities that would benefit my brother and me In January of 2010 I left my original country Eritrea and went to Sudan to get one step closer in the transition to the US My mom my brother and I started life in Sudan while waiting for our immigration visas to be processed Living in Sudan was very hard for me because it was totally new environment and new culture I had to wear hijab and long dress Muslim females clothing even to take the trash out I knew no Arabic and neither did my mom or my brother which made it so hard to communicate with the people especially when we went shopping What made my life in Sudan even harder is that I decided to go to school while I was there A typical school day would last about seven hours and it was in extremely hot weather But I was determined to get my education because if I just sat at home and waited until I come to the USA I felt like my passion for school would go away and that my goals would just vanish I knew I would never want that to happen because I wanted my parents to be proud of me I wanted my dads hard work to pay offAfter eight months of waiting it was time for my mom my brother and
