The Internet created a huge impact on civilization as the printing press did in the 15th century It carried out some of the information like the printing press did but it does it ten times more faster The invention of the Internet will have an effect similar to that of the invention of the printing press on world civilization in the future The Internet and the printing press had both created a huge impact on how information was founded Before the Internet people used to read books and encyclopedia to find all their information Without the Internet we would have to find all of our information in books and without the printing press the people back then would have to write all the copies of the books by hand The reason is the Internet makes everything easier for us now just like the printing press did centuries ago Both the Internet and the printing press had a similar effect on the bible The printing press brought the Bible to the thousands of people who had not even heard it Before the printing press time only the monks and church officials were able to read The common folk had nothing to read even if they could The press changed it all revolutionizing the world through its printing In just the same way the Internet also did that but only further Today you could visit over 1000 bible websites Overall both inventions considerably affected the world in some ways for good and in alternative ways for bad The Internet and the printing press had an effect on the spread of information Before the printing press people had to depend their information on a messenger now they dont because of the printing press The Internet is probably most famous for the ability to spread information fact or fiction We were once limited to news editors of a local paper then to national cable news Now anyone can search
