AbstractThere have been many researches on the impacts of chronic stress on health in the workplace This proposed study is designed to investigate whether fatigue acute stressors health burnout posttraumatic responses and interaction relationship between chronic and acute stress certainly impact on health and work performance Two factors influence its cause of chronic stress the most work-related stressors and personal characteristics Several questionnaires longitudinal studies and measurements are to be used to determine its results Following more recent studies on critical incidents and chronic stressors at work this study expects to see any adverse effects following a high chronic stress and improved work performance following a lowreduced work stress The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of chronic stress on health during a high or lowreduced work stress There isnt really controversy around the effects of chronic stress on because it is too obvious that chronic stress effects on health such as inability to sustain attention poor work performance burnout experience fatigue and even avoid talking or thinking According to of working people was experienced or currently experiencing stress and depression People who are at high-risk professions are police officers firefighters and bank employees forensic doctors emergency service personnel and nurses E Ploeg et al 2003 High chronic stressors or work-related stressors can be the consequences of job overload role conflicts amount of reward received and insufficient social support in organizations E Ploeg et al 2003 B Buddeberg-Fischer et al 2009 Especially people who work in emergency service are at high risk to develop posttraumatic stress disorder PTSD and other posttraumatic psychological difficulties Weiss Metzler Ronfeldt 1995 As well it was associated with somatic symptoms such as neck and shoulder pain S Munce et al 2006 In a longitudinal study conducted by Eleonore van der Ploeg Sasja M Dorresteijin and Rolf J Kleber 2003 also demonstrates that employees who experienced aggressive or traumatic incidents showed considerably more
