Inheritance is thought to be a large amount of money in todays society but it is simple as just coming into a possession or genetics Many people do not understand inheriting not only has the financial aspect but incorporates action as well People know that genes are inherited but any actions through the parents are inherited as well Sin is a major concept that a child will inherit through their parents In Sophocles play Antigone the concept of children inheriting the sins of their parents is proven true and in todays world as well Through the conceptions of todays society and through Antigone by Sophocles children will inherit the parents sin through exposure actions and the reactions of society One major factor that allows a child to inherit their parents sin is through exposure Exposure is considered the instance of being subjected to an action or influence A young child will pick up anything that someone does especially a parent who they may look up too Having children exposed to sinful actions will allow for the child to develop that action and will move forward in life with that action As a child watches what a parent does they are being taught what to do even though the parents may not realize it For example if a father is abusive the chance that the child will to one day act in the same manner A childs mind is like a sponge it will absorb almost anything and even though the child may recognize the action as being wrong there the action is still in their mind and can come back into the future In Antigone Antigone remembers how her father Oedipus had killed himself and she ends up doing the same Both of these characters had taken their own life even though it was performed differently This parallels how in todays society kids will inherit their parents sins Additionally the
