For my assignment I decided to interview a student who is working outside of school a current Eastern student Antoinette who is a senior and is currently working at the bookstore From the interview I gained a wider knowledge of how to be balanced with school and work at the same time During the interview I asked her various questions such as how do you stay organized What are some time management barriers you have come across How do you balance your social and academic life Do you have free time to do other thingsTo start I asked various questions about how she likes working in the bookstore at the school I also asked her how she stayed organized One thing she said that helps her stay on task is her planner Antoinette tells me that the use of a planner helps her a lot especially in the long run She said that It helps prevents pressure because you know when your next upcoming test or quiz is going to be Another way to be successful is to set up a schedule for certain times when you will do your homework and then have a different time of the day to review or study the material that was covered in class She discussed how to squeeze in outside activities as well A key to being organized she notes is to be neat Its important to stay neat and organized especially when it comes to academics so you will know when something is due and not let it get overdue She said that to be an organized student is an important part of going to college The next question I asked her was What are some time management barriers that you have come across She told me some of her barriers include her friends and the media As we all know friends are good to be around but you need to make good decisions
