An issue that has never fails to created tension is whether the death penalty serves as a justified form of punishment The word death penalty seems to be harsh Crime plays an everyday role in society and everyone is aware that something must be done about it People know the threat of crimes but what actions should be used to deal with it In some parts of the world the death penalty has been given to people who have committed a various amount crimes over several years Capital punishment whose definition is the use of death as a legal punishment is an acceptable and efficient form of punishment Today the death penalty remains an effective method of punishment for murder and other terrible crimesThe morals and effectiveness of such a harsh sentence are debatable The death penalty is disputed as a violation of the 8th amendment which is that the US cannot use cruel and unusual punishment Punishment is a legal form of suffering it has to be somewhat cruel People will loot take advantage of others and commit crimes as long as they want to do so The purpose the criminal justice system is to protect the rights of life liberty and property for all its citizens To do this the punishment for crime must be harsh enough to prevent potential criminals So with that being said the death penalty makes perfect sense Capital punishment is a punishment that honestly makes a criminal pay for his or her crime stops the criminal from committing it again and prevents or scares other criminals from committing the same crimeThere is a moral argument against the taking of anyones life By not taking life inside the prison there is the possibility that violence in society outside of prison may be lowered By killing these wrongful people I think prisons have greatly reduced the murder level in some places There
