Imagine living in a country where life is controlled by the government and revolves around religion Scared to death about making a mistake thatll result in pain and punishment Well Afghanistan sure got their taste of it When the Taliban came into order Afghans had limits on how to live their lives Women go the worst of it The punishments were lifelong horrific stories thatll haunt them forever The strict rules of Islam on Afghanistan have control of the government put harsh rules on women and have caused a disturbance of peace Based on religion the government is shaped by Islamic values and has a great effect on all Afghans The Taliban began implementing their version of Sharia Islamic law Afghanistan Basically its like making our US government revolve around the Ten Commandments Of course Sharia is logical but whats illegitimate is their use of Sharia Theyre using every word literally and tweaking it so it fits their standards The Taliban has given Islam so much power that they basically converted all Afghans into monks All secular media was banned and photography of any living thing was forbidden The Taliban raided numerous houses and destroyed numerous televisions and satellites When the Taliban gained power many Afghans believed peace would come to this poor country but they were let down Carlisle 52 The government really has a great effect on Afghans lives The strict laws imposed on women by the Taliban have taken away all their freedom One women could not leave their home without wearing a Burqa a think cloth that covered them from head to toe Some suitors havent even seen their fiancs face until they wed and
