Quality television is being sacrificed in order to draw massivenumbers of viewers The more viewers mean the more money in the bank for the televisioncompanies At what cost though Are Americans settling for less Quality these daysin television programming could be on any talk show for discussion Is the break downof the American family a cause for television companies to be able to lure moreviewers into watching lower quality tv shows Are blended families ordysfunctional families the reason why the American population now needs to be entertained more andmore by the boob tube If you go down any street in America the family may nothave food on the table or gas for their car but we can be assured that there is probablya cable or satellite dish attached to their home trailer or apartment Television production companies boost ratings and their viewer baseby lowering the quality of programming They are luring viewers with reality showsthat show case nudity families that are out of control religious groupswith unethical beliefs and any other low quality programming that is meaningless This enablesthe television companies to charge more according to the viewer base Themore viewers the more can be charged per advertising slot as more viewers are viewingthe product being sold This encourages the television companies to sign programsthat will either target certain large population groups or just lure large groups ofgeneral viewers to watch sub quality programming Unfortunately to draw millions ofpotential viewing patrons quality programming is being left behind It just doesnt drawthe numbers they are looking for Whose fault is it The television companies or theviewers willing to watch non-quality programming week after week after week One of the most recent shows that seems to be drawing
