There are many adults in my life and each one I have noticed I talk to differently For example my parents both of whom I talk to in an informal tone but still in a different way This past weekend when I went home I talked to my dad a lot about our thoughts on the happenings in Syria A conversation that went like thisWhat do you think we should do about Syria - meI dont really think its our responsibility to do anything - my dadWe shouldnt go to war - my sisterSo you dont think we should help them domestically Im not saying we should go to war thats not even what the government is contemplating right now - meIts hard to say what we should and shouldnt do in these kind of situations Where do our governments boundaries lie - my dadI just think we should do something we know whats happening there and how terrible it is Its a gray area but what does that say about us if we just sit back and not do anything I just think we have some sort of responsibility to uphold - meMy dad and I often have very intellectual debate-based conversations that are honest These conversations are usually one on one sometimes my sister will interject but usually not with something relative Theyre also often over dinner or later in the evening in our living room I really care about what my dad thinks of my opinion so I think over my responses to his questions carefully Ive noticed when I talk to my dad I act older and use sophisticated language This same weekend my mom and I went to a thrift store and she found something she thought was very cool that conversation went like thisGreta - my mom from across the storeWhat - me trying to find her Look at this how cool is this I should buy it yeah
