What a whirlwind of a summer Trying to learn to use the largest program I have ever used in ten weeks What is crazier we were learning it with the teacher I have never learned a class with the teacher before but it made it that much more interesting This has been very different from the other CAD classes I have had This is the first 3D CAD class I have taken and the first BIM class I have ever taken In CAD1 and CAD2 we worked with only 2D software Not much from CAD1 and 2 was not of much use with Revit it is a totally different software then CAD The teacher learning Revit with us helped push me to learn on my own I like the hands-on ability that this gave me Learning this way is much more enjoyable to me when I learn something on my own rather than someone having to show me There were many things that helped with learning this program along the way such as the textbook and online tutorials There were many things that went smoothly and many that did now Many tricks were shared in the class to help one another on our projects Some very helpful ones were shared with me as I hope mine were for others that I shared withIn CAD1 I learned how to make very basic shapes with CAD I spent hours creating layers I learned things like how often to save your project and CAD standards I learned the different file names for CAD such as dwt bak and dwg I learned to make simple things like sprockets will the fillet and array tools I learned to draw basic house plans using the offset tool to make wall and such In CAD2 I learned more advanced CAD design tools such as dimensions One thing that I enjoyed most was designing and saving blocks and wblock to save for future
