The craft of writing is always evolving and as a writer one is constantly changing As we progress our writing style changes and molded it into something we become proud of From the early stages in our writing we can see our mistakes made and learn from them Personally I came into the English 49 class with the hopes to gain some new knowledge about writing and its variety of styles The writing expectation for English 49 opened my eyes and made me push myself to better my writing When I came into the class I already had some preconceived ideas about writing and about my style as well I had my style of writing but it was too elementary like for college standards I learned new mechanical and organization methods in this class Whenever I think of writing I get nervous and it becomes problematic but with time and practice it all became a faint memory The three essays I wrote all had their weaknesses as well as their strengths but as the semester went by I made improvements to my writing and with each essay the improvement could be seen The first essay I wrote in the class was the prologue and it contained many mistakes that I overlooked Since I came into the class with an indication of what my writing style was but little did I know that it was full of grammar errors and limited vocabulary It was also short and barely past four sentences One of the many weaknesses I encountered was writing under pressure because of that the chances of me making more mistakes grew larger Another weakness that I overcame was grammar The grammar in the prologue was poor and so was the sentence structure I had a hard time grasping the concept of the sentence
