Living On-Campus vs Off-CampusDeciding whether to live on-campus or off-campus is a very important and personal choice and both choices have their advantages and disadvantages Although they bear some similarities the differences between living on-campus and off-campus is quite clear While living on-campus gives you more proximity to everything on campus you will have less privacy whereas if youre living off-campus you will not be as close to your classes but you will have much more privacy Making the decision is somewhat hard especially when you dont know what to consider when choosing Theres no doubt that living on-campus is convenient The accessibility to the school is quick and easy You can effortlessly walk to the academic buildings administrative offices dining and recreation facilities at your school because it is all nearby The food is appreciated and served many times of the day Because everything is on one bill your food has already been prepaid for so you get to eat anything you want and not really pay for it Living on-campus also provides the opportunity to develop strong social connections and being included in a community that supports educational and personal growth in a safe supportive environment While living on campus youre put into a community with other students sharing similar interests as you which will provide you the opportunity to develop strong connections with other people and interpersonal communication skills Another thing about living on-campus is that you have the opportunity to meet a lot of new people because you are regularly at college You can meet new friends in your dorm room the campus restaurants and any other social assemblies that the college may have The transportation to school is also quite simple as well Since youre right on campus there is no need for a car You dont have to worry about driving to classes every single day worry about fighting for a parking spot in the campus parking lot
