When I was younger I was taught to sing Make new friends but keep the old one is silver and the others gold when I first began making more friends It clearly explains to children that they should always keep making new friends while still including the old ones and that some friends may be better than another But does it really classify which ones are silver or gold My golden friends always tended to be my friends Ive known since I was little but recently Ive let somebody in that became my best friend but has also taught me a huge lesson After waiting three long months to finally get back to what I call my life dance For me September is my favorite time of the year because it meant that I finally got too see my second home and family again The studio was filled with baby ballerinas starting their first dance class too the older girls taking over the back room because our bags were too filled with shoes that they couldnt fit in the once huge white cubbies The excitement was filling the place because we knew we had a great and hardworking year coming to us The girls at dance and I always had a strong bond because weve been dancing with another for over six years now and pretty much helped each other through anything but mostly we all share the love for the same thing dance Once youre an older dancer you never really see any new girls come at the level I was in until this past year I remember walking in and seeing this short blonde girl with a black leotard on with old pink tights thinking oh she looks about my age but maybe shes in the lower level classes As I walked to the back of the studio MsJanine was waiting for us in her typical Victoria Secret yoga pants and Zumba tank
