Brigham Young once said You educate a man you educate a man You educate a woman you educate a generation This quote acknowledges the importance of a woman education As we may think that in the world today everyone is given the freedom to educate themselves but this is not the case everywhere In a developing country like Pakistan women still to this day dont have the right and freedom to do what they please And when they rebel and ask for their rights they are shot right in the head just like Malala YousafzaiMalala Yousafzai was born in a very conservative small town Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistans northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on July 12 1997 At the age of 11-12 in 2009 she started writing a blog under a fictitious name for BBC about her detailed personal life and the problems that she and her community were facing under the rule of the Talibans Talibans are people who are a fundamentalist Islamic Army that are at times considered as terrorist These Talibans are trying to reinforce the religion of Islam on the people of Pakistan and other Muslim countries In her blog she briefly talked about the views of the Talibans on education and how they were strictly against girls being educated or in other words attending any type of institutionThe Talibans had banned schools for girls in the Swat valley of Pakistan where Malala was currently residing They had presaged everyone about the consequences that they will face if they were to in contradiction of their decision Her blog that was read worldwide lead to the world knowing what the people especially what girls were going through in Swat valley As a result of the high population of people demanding the government of Pakistan to take action the Pakistani army launched military operations to sweep out the Talibans in that areaThis was not something that was taken lightly
