When viewing or listening to the radio television or internet has led to a new way of thinking Each individual form of media has impacted societys behavior For instance when the radio was first introduced it allowed people to connect to the world outside of their home or country through dramatized programs or daily news People would gather in the homes of those who could afford a radio to listen to important news or enjoy narrated stories In Todays times radio is made of music the hottest parties and very little news is being heard The advent of the television gave those voices on the radio a face which people could identify with and appreciate Movie stars were born on television and Hollywood became associated with the ideas of fortune and fame In todays world the internet is the means which people connect to individuals worldwide to form relationships buysell products or even conduct research Our society went from purchasing things by mail ordering catalogs to calling the home shopping club advertise on TV to buying and selling products online This shift represents a meth by which the use of media has transformed our way of thinking as it relates to how we shop I believe that shopping online is the most efficient way to shop and it allows you to access products globally as opposed to settling for what is available in the local department stores The question is did the marketing strategies lead me to this conclusion by transforming my way of thinkingLets analyze the use of marketing strategies used by radios stations television or internet media as a method of what Atwood calls a form of brainwashing Todays radio is bombarded with advertisements as well as suggestions on what to buy and where to shop Television is no exception there is a commercial break as often as every 10-15 minutes on some network stations Internet advertisements can pop-up while browsing websites or
