I believe that everyone has a mission to carry out When the mission is completed we will go back to our home with God Three years ago I went to study abroad in the US I spent my first year in a small high school to study English From there I transferred to Mountain View Academy a Christian seventh-day Adventist college preparatory high school to finish my senior year Unfortunately I was not a Christian nor a Christ-follower I chose this school because I wanted to study in a good and an educated environment believing it will help me to fall in line with the US educationAt first I felt weird and a little awkward with all the religious activities I hated the requirement of religious classes such as doing ambiguous tasks such as writing in a daily journal or praying Things changed however when I learned my cousin Rachel because acutely aware that she was going to lose her battle with her tumor Being close to her when I was still in Vietnam this made me shocked I repented that I didnt talk to her as much since the time I traveled to the US I felt useless because I couldnt do anything to help her That day I was wholly unexpected to write about Rachel in my daily journal during religious class I was crying when I remembered our time together She was a beautiful three year old girl when we met A black bundle of giggles who followed her older brothers everywhere and climbed on my little brother as he endured his long growth spurt She was a beautiful child quick to jump for piggy-back rides or share a practical joke on our siblings As a pre-teen she was sarcastic sharp and bouncing with the same energy she had as a child She was walking as tall as her tiny frame would allow head held high and ready to face any
