Morality is defined as concerned with the principles of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong In other words morality is doing what is correct and what is good There is no real way to categorize what constitutes a good moral act being that the beliefs of what are good acts very from person to person This deviation is caused by three key factors society ones family and religion Moral doings and morality in general vary from person to person Society is the largest influence on morals for the main reason that the society each individual lives in deems what is correct and acceptable or what is wrong and unacceptable and therefore laying the building blocks for what is moral and immoral Society forms laws that are rules that we are supposed to follow in order to live moral lives If we are immoral our punishment are handed to us by society as well as if we are moral society rewards us The morality of an individual is also based on childhood experiences mainly the family and their portrayal of what is considered moral In other words if a childs parents make the child work hard do their homework and study these things become morally correct for the child The child assumes that working hard is the correct thing to do Whereas the parents who do not care will more than likely have a child who cares not as well therefore doing things that society deems as immoral Religion is also a major factor in morality For instance some religions such as Hinduism believe in the sacrifice of certain animals whereas religions such as Catholicism do not Being a Catholic the sacrificing of innocent animals seems immoral and unethical but to followers of the Hindu religion they believe that the sacrificial ceremonies are sacred As society governs the way we rewarded or punished on earth for moral or immoral behaviors
